Body Scanning Writing Prompt

Earlier today I added a blog post with a 3-Minute Beginner’s Body Scan. This is a follow-up to that. When I did a poll on Instagram Stories a while back & talked to clients, friends & family, the number 1 ask was for guided writing prompts. Initially I was surprised it wasn’t for more yoga videos or meditations, but after thinking about it for a while I realized that sitting down to write can be realIy intimidating. A blank page just staring back at you, waiting for you to write something earth shattering, lol, but that’s actually not at all what it’s about.⠀
⠀
Brain dumping and journaling is used by some of the most successful people in the world, and they do it multiple times a day. They often combine specific prompts with a physical journal. It’s said that each morning Benjamin Franklin asked himself, “What good shall I do this day?” and each evening, “What good have I done today?” Steve Jobs asked, “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do?” Oprah Winfrey starts each day with her gratitude journal, noting five things for which she’s thankful. Albert Einstein amassed more than 80,000 pages of notes in his lifetime.⠀
⠀
This is a form of release, of organizing the thoughts and feelings in your head, of inspiring creativity, of gathering information about your life, as well as your physical and mental wellbeing. So here is one of many guided writing prompts I’ll be providing you, this one is specific to the body scans I’ll be releasing one-by-one over the next week or so, but there will be many more.⠀
⠀
Enjoy – Stay safe – Stay healthy – Be kind to one another – Look out for one another…and take care of yourself during these incredibly trying times!⠀
⠀
XOXO
